Disclaimer
1. What this covers
This applies to everything published on the AdvantageEHS website: the articles, the product pages, the calculator, and anything else you read here.
It does not apply to the AdvantageEHS platform itself, or to anything agreed in a signed contract with us.
2. Information, not advice
Everything on this site is general information. None of it is legal advice, safety advice, engineering advice or regulatory advice, and none of it is a substitute for a competent person assessing your own site.
We write about permit to work, isolation, risk assessment and the regulations around them because that is the work we come from. What we cannot know is your process, your plant, your people or your regulator. A decision about whether a job is safe to start belongs to the people who can see the job.
Do not rely on anything here as the basis for a safety decision.
3. Regulation changes, and it varies
Safety regulation moves. What is accurate when an article is published may not be accurate when you read it, and we do not undertake to keep every page current.
It also varies. A directive that applies across the European Union is enforced by national authorities who interpret and inspect differently. An article describing what Seveso requires is describing the directive, not what an inspector in your country will ask you on the day. The gap between the two is often where the real work sits.
Where something matters, check the current text of the regulation that applies to you, and check with your own regulator.
4. Sources we cite
Where we cite research, regulatory guidance or industry data, we name the source so you can go and read it. We have not independently verified other people's work, and citing a source is not an endorsement of everything in it.
Figures quoted from third parties describe whatever population that research studied. They do not describe your site.
5. Our software does not make you compliant
This one matters more than the rest.
AdvantageEHS helps you run permits, isolations and a risk register, and it keeps a record of what happened. It does not make your organisation compliant with any regulation, standard or directive.
Compliance is about your procedures, your training, your equipment and the decisions your people make. Software can enforce a sequence and produce an audit trail. It cannot verify that an isolation was physically correct, that the person signing understood what they signed, or that your site meets a standard.
Nothing on this site should be read as a claim that using our product satisfies a legal obligation, and no description of a feature is a warranty about a regulatory outcome.
6. The calculator
The calculator produces an arithmetic result from figures you enter and an assumption you choose. It is not a forecast, a promise of a saving or a quotation. Section 5 of the Terms of Use sets that out in full.
7. Screenshots and demonstrations
Screens shown on this site come from a demonstration environment holding example data. They show what the product does, not what your configuration will look like, and the data in them is not real.
8. Availability and accuracy
We try to keep this site accurate, complete and available. We do not warrant any of the three. Pages may be out of date, incomplete, or temporarily unreachable, and we may change or remove anything without notice.
If you find something wrong on this site, tell us at legal@advantageehs.com and we will correct it.
9. Liability
Section 11 of the Terms of Use sets out our liability position for this website, including the limits that Dutch law does not permit us to exclude.
